Clyde "Bo" Raymond Pickler, Jr. spent much of his daughter's childhood behind bars for various crimes, including a three-year stint in prison for aggravated battery and assault.
The country singer was devastated to learn about the six-year-old, who suffers from septo-optic dysplasia and was told a week before Christmas she will lose her vision.
In a statement, released to People.com, the happy couple says, "We are so thankful to have found each other and now be able to spend the rest of our lives together."
