Broadway grew up in Marne, Michigan, a small town surrounded by farms. Perhaps it was the smell of cow manure that made him the eccentric character he is today.
Broadway’s introduction to Country music came through the 90’s hit, Boot Scootin' Boogie. He says, "I played the Boot Scootin' Boogie cassette single so many times that mom threw it away and said it was an accident."
He is a huge advocate for the American Cancer Society. His mother passed away from Lung cancer in 2008, and father has battled three different types of cancer.
When not in the studio, Broadway enjoys cartoons, Squidbillies on Adult Swim is his favorite. He also enjoys Stephen King books and spending time with his family consisting of his wife, two kids and dog.

Miranda Lambert, Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe claim that their bus gets as dirty as their potty mouths on the road, with their cosmetics making up most of the mess. Miranda is the first to initiate a bus cleaning -- an activity they’ve affectionately dubbed “the bus douche.”
Miranda: “We call it the ‘bus douche’ because every two or three days we have to just open the windows and throw stuff out the windows. And wipe the film with the tan off and pick up the lashes.”
Ashley: “And get the film of tan off the floor.”
Angaleena: “And the eyelashes … hairspray … tampons … what have you. She kind of had to whip us into participating because …”
Miranda: “… because sometimes you can’t even sleep, you can’t walk, there’s just crap everywhere and you’re like, ‘OK.’”
Angaleena: “‘Get up, girls. It’s douche day!’”
Miranda: “‘Open the windows. Start throwing stuff out!’”
